Hang Kruengs

Early this month of November, I went to do a light and sound show at the Loy Kratong festival in Chachoengsao province. I have been doing the show for 4 years now. It was great to be out of Bangkok for a while. The weather was cooler at that time. The moon was full and the river was serenely beautiful. Workwise, things went on smoothly and I felt very happy. I saw many young , elaboratedly dressed dancers passing by. They were dancers for their schools' country music bands. In Thai we call these girls Hang Kruengs. Just like cheerleaders, they are necessary additon to the show. I love the daring color combination they used for their costumes. Most of them had feathers adorned on their hats or heads. The unique styles of Hang Krueng girls always dazzle me. Just look at the colors and the designs of their costumes, and you'll be fascinated too!
