Pru with Bill&Ben

Pru & Bill & BenI drew this image while Pru was sick in a hospital, he had high fever that seemed neverending. It started with moderate normal fever, so his parents took him to the hospital. He was given some medicine and the fever subsided for a few days. Then it came back again, he was rushed to the hospital, after 3 nights, there he was better, went out of the hospital, spending another 3 nights at home, and the fever came back, he was sent to the hospital again. It was like a vicious cycle and it was hell for his mother. Finally the doctor gave up. Pru was then admitted to another two hospitals. During that time, he was injected, x-rayed, scanned, echocardiogrammed, ultrasounded, bonemarrow examined, you name it! All the specialists tried so hard to figure out what's wrong in his tiny 2 years old body, and after 2 months of discussing, meeting, examining, theorising and guessing, the doctors concluded that he was infected with some kind of bacteria. After receiving the correct medication, he was better and better. Now he's fully recovered. I feel so relieved and so happy for his parents.

I drew this picture of Pru holding Bill and Ben, the twin trains from his favorite book, Thomas and Friends. I bought these toys for him when he was in the hospital. In reality there was an IV fluid bag attached to his arm all the time, but I didn't want it to appear in my drawing. So I got rid of it !
