When Poire Was Young

Not Pleased!
Today is Poire's birthday and I wish her a very good and prosperous year. I drew this sketch for her on this occasion. This was when she's around 3-4 years old. At that time she was a very emotional little girl. Whenever she's not pleased she would throw a tantrum, screamed and cried incessantly for a very long period of time. She loved sitting in a car while I drove around and I always tagged her and Pang along whenever I could. Sometime I even took them to travel upcountry with my close friends. I remember once I and Ko-eah, my friend, took her for a drive. That was long time ago and I just graduated from a university. She was in a back seat and talked nonstoppedly ( my friends and I used to jokingly named her " Little Talking Machine" ). We took her to Sailor bakery that situated between Sukhumvit 45 and 47, it was one of the first decent bakeries at that time. After eating, I drove her back to drop her home. Ko-eah and I had to go out again to meet other friends. She slept along the way, then when we reached home and she found out that we're going to leave her behind, she started crying and refused to get out of the car. The soft sobbing became louder and louder and finally reached a full scream level. It went on and on and on. Ko-eah who was first mad at my niece, became impatient and was, understandably, angry at me. She wanted me to either drag Poire out of the car or gave her a spank. We were already late and all our friends were wating for us. I was confused and didn't know how to handle this reluctant situation. It seemed that both of them were mad at me. In the end, Ko-eah angrily stormed out of my house, leaving me behind with my screaming neice. After that incident, Ko-eah always referred to her as "That Crying Machine". Well, that was ages ago and now Poire has grown up to be a sucessful architect who soon, hopefully, will become a real estate tycoon : )

Rays Of Light
Rays Of Light
An incurably optimistic person by nature, I always tries so hard to find things to comfort me whenever I am sad. Once 4 years ago, I was in a very sombre mood and very sad. So I went away to Huahin. I took a walk alone along the beach. There was not a single soul but me. The sky was cloudy, the sea was foul. There was nothing to comfort me. Then suddenly I saw these rays of light coming through the dark clouds, like someone up there was sending some good signs for me. I felt sudddenly better and so I used my mobile to take this picture and kept it in the phone's memory cards for some time. Then, I got my new MOTO 680 and started using a drawing pad function, I came across this pic and started drawing something onto it. It was the tale of some ordinary silly girl who got an opportunity to go up there. She came back with a gift that could change the world !! But since she's very silly, instead of doing something good, she just used the magic wand to satisfy her vanity ; like changing the color of her dress and flying in so many direction just for fun. (It was fun indeed.) That SOMEONE UP THERE was very upset with her foolishness, so he reached his long, long hands from the cloud and snatched the magic wand back. (He's maybe somehow related to Mae Naag, I suppose.) The girl was shocked and upset. But this served her right, don't u think so ? : ) This is the reason why the world will never be better because that SOMEONE got his lesson not to trust any human soul again!!

Jantaburi - Pla In Front Of Baan Toom Daeng
Ua, Pla, Ling, Pick and I stayed at Baan Toom Daeng which is a 2 bedrooms villa. In front of the villa, there's a small pool that seems fit only for children. Anyway Pla has found her way to enjoy the pool by sitting there and putting her feet in it. She seemed very pleased. So when I came back I decided to draw this picture. However, I didn't exactly remember the details of the villa's front. So in the first drawing I colored the house white with red door and red windows. Later, I found out from the pictures someone took that the actual color was yellow with green door and brown windows with hand painted climbing rose details. So I changed the color of everything in my drawing. That's why Pla's t-shirt has gone from yellow to white. Otherwise her t-shirt would be exactly the same color as a wall : )

Jantaburi - Kungkrabaen
Mangrove Forest
Kungkrabaen Bay is the royal project to restore the mangrove forest along Jantaburi coast. We went there and took a walk in the forest. It was fun, exciting and educating. We enjoyed it very much.

Jantaburi - Chalermprakiat Bridge
This is a bridge that was built across the sea as a link from the beach road to Jantaburi city . From our resort we can drive along the beach road, climb up on a high mountain. Looking down from the top of the range, we can see clear blue water of Jantaburi sea. The view there is fantastic. They say that this road is one of the most beautiful roads in Thailand. I quite agree.

Rung took his bicycle along to Jantaburi and went out every morning to ride. He said he went as far as the bridge, which is quite FAR. This is how I pictured him. Hope I did it right !
At first I got the name of the bridge wrong. Thanks to Rung who made a comment. Anyway I have found more information on this road. If you're interested pls. click : )

A Beach Swing
Ayuravedic massage
My Massage Doctor and Me

One morning last year I woke up with a terrible pain at my upper left arm. To my horror I found out that I could not lift it above my head. My shoulder got locked! I hate going to see any kind of doctor, so I just ignored it, thinking that it'll be ok. soon. I bought tons of balms and all kind of muscle relaxing medecines available in the market. They helped a little. So one day I decided to go and see a proper doctor who told me that my symptom was officially called Frozen Shoulder, resulting from using my hand and arm in the wrong way ( drawing and computer keyboard tapping all the time, I guess). He looked serious and said I needed to have a thorough x-rays. Fearing that the next step will be an arm operation or some kind of electric shock, I freaked out and said I would come back later if things were not getting better in 2 weeks. So he gave me some conventional medicines and told me that if it was my decision to endure all the pain, then he could not help it. On my way back home, I had made up my mind that I would not go back to the hospital and would try to find some alternative cure. So after consulting with about dozen advisers I decided to go to Ayuravedic massage. I was warned that this method would cause terrible pain at the first time but would make me feel definitely better later. Although prepared, I still nearly fainted from an unbearable pain. I tried not to scream even though my massage doctor, whose name was Mor Nui, told me it's alright to scream. Everyone screamed, he said. Not me. I would endure all this and I would survive. And it turned out that I did survive and did feel better. I went there a couple of time a week and after 2 months I felt pretty ok. My masssage doctor told me that it would take probably a year or two before my arm will be completely healed. He gave me some excercises to help relaxing my stubborn muscles. Do these everyday, he said, otherwise the muscle would be stressed again. So I did. And little by little I have recovered. Now I can raise my poor left hand above my head. It is still not 100% ok. and I still had to excercise everyday, but I am happy with it. This experience taught me a precious lesson that our body is fragile and we have to be very careful with it. If you neglect them, they will, just like us, become strained and stressed and rebellious! Sorry ARM, promise that from now on I will definitely take good care of you : )
Anyway, I drew this pic of myself and my massage doctor who is very nice, patient and understanding. You can take a look at my face to see that I had tried so hard to suppress my scream : AAAAAKKKKKKKK.

Tongneng-Rudklao
Tongneng, Singing
A very good singer, I have known Tongneng for a long time. She's also my high school teacher's daughter. I drew Tongneng wearing black evening dress like what she'd wear in a concert. However I later added on some jewelries to make it more appropriate for a grand function!
With Diamond Necklace and Earrings.
