Moo and Nissan X-Trail

Last month, Moo bought a new Nissan X-Trail and he's somehow cheated by Nissan company's sales person. He's very mad at this and I think this must be what he wants to do. In this drawing Moo is going to bang his car with a big hammer, while Ua and Oad are cheering!

Huahin Nov.2006

We have been working very hard lately, so after Suansunanta show we decided to take a break and went to Hauhin for a night. We didn't book a hotel because Moo said that it'd be easy to find a room in Huahin but as it was Saturday, we found out that there's no room left. So we drove like mad trying to find a place that can house all ten of us. At last we found available rooms at Chomview Hotel which was very lucky because the hotel and the rooms we got are very nice. It's a 2 bedroom unit with a terrace and a small kitchenette that we could cook. We were happy.

And Ua looks very tall comparing to Oam.

All the Girls on the Beach

Here I used Photoshop to make every girls in one picture. Compare the sizes and heights of them. A cute bunch, eh?

Moo and Oad

Moo is carrying his new basket in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other hand. And Oad is wearing his new pink shorts.

Moo and Oad under Lantom Tree.

There are many Lantom trees at Huahin beach. Lantom' s my favorite trees. And even though some crazy superstitous people think the name Lantom means bad luck and change the poor tree's name to Leelavadee, I will always call it Lantom. Sounds less pretentious to me. Here Moo and Oad are under a Lantom tree.

At Night

We had dinner at our friend's resort, Kabantamor and after that we took a stroll along the sandy beach. Up on the sky, is not a big banana but a yellow crescent moon.

Hate Seeing Dentists

I always hate going to dentists since when was very young. Lately my teeth urgently needs to be done, so it's inevitable that I have to go to see my dentist. As can be seen from my drawing here, it's torture time : (

Rung, the Cyclist

Rung, the Cyclist
Rung has bought a new mountain bike and is very crazy about it. He took it everywhere. He bought new lights and a new meter for the bike and a new helmet and new pants for himself. He looks like a pro, doesn't he?

Angsila Fishing Boats

Early this month, I went to Angsila, Cholburi province and saw fishing boats with many colorful flags on it. I asked the fisherman what they were, he told me that these flags're used to mark one's territory while fishing in the sea. They look nice. don't they?

Kaew Jao Jom

Nammon As Kaew Jao Jom
In Klin Kawe Jao Jom, the show at Suan Sunanta, Nammon is our leading character. Nammon is a wonderful singer. She also starred in our production " Koo Gam, the Musical" and got rave review about her performance. This drawing doesn't look like her but my left arm is aching right now. So I didn't pay much attention to the detail : )

Do You Believe In Ghosts?

My previous post is about our ahow at Suan Sunanta Palace and I believe I did mention feeling haunted in my Oct4 post titled " Thai Life". Anyway, as the opening night was nearer, I was so busy that I forgot such feeling. The opening night was Wednesday 8th November and although there's some minor technical problems, the show was smooth and beautiful. However on the second day, one of our team showed me the picture that the audience caught during the show. There's an obscure transparent fugure on the stage. It looks like a person dressed in royal embroidered robes of the queen. Someone says it looks like the old picture of Queen Sunanta. And there are 2 shadows in that picture. I dont know what to think, may be it is the effects of lighting and smoke? But it certainly looks so real that some girls screamed when they saw it.
Queen Sunanta
Anyway, during the second show, I used Ua's digital camera to take some pictures. And again, there are some obscure figures dressed in traditional robes in the left hand corner of the pic. One is a woman and the other is a small chid. Also the third figure seems to dress like a servant. I had posted it here and you can see for yourself. Tell me if you see anything in this pic.

Suan Sunanta University Show " Klin Kaew Jao Jom"

Klin Kaew Jao Jom is an open-air stage show that combines acting, music, dance, drama and Thai classical live band with lighting, sound fx and video projection. The story depicts some significant period of the long history of Suansunanta University and tells it in musical style. Suan Sunanta is formerly a palace built about 100 years ago as a resident for King Rama V's queens, consorts and daughters. So it is quite old. The palace's name comes from the name of Queen Sunanta who died in tragic boat accident together with her small daughter. She was also pregnant with other child. It was very sad for her husband, King Rama V and he had built many monuments for her. Anyway, this palace is full of old memories.
As this place was built for queens and princesses, so, in the old time no male was allowed to enter the area without special permission. In our show, we have many charactors of small girls who lived in the palace at that time. These are my drawings of some of them in old time palace costumes.

Loy Krathong Day

Loy Krathong 2006
Today is Loy Krathong Festival. The moon is full and the weather is fine. Ua, Oam , Ob and I bought small krathong floral floats from a vendor at Bangchalong market. Rung joined us later at our Mooban's lake. Ob and Oam shared their krathong. They made their wish together before floating it on the water. As for myself, I asked for forgiveness from Mae Kongka, the river goddess, in case I did anything bad last year. I also asked Mae Kongka to protect my family and friends. It's a pity Meme, Jak and Axel were not with us tonight. Jak and Axel went out to a dinner party somewhere in town and Meme is now in Chiangrai. I remember that last year I was at Chachoengsao at Loy Krathong Festival, doing a stage show there. The site was by the river Bangpakong. Before the show started, it rained heavily and we had to wait until the rain stopped. For a finale, there were thousands of magnificent fireworks that night.
However, no fireworks to be seen or heard tonight, just flashing phantom-like lights and annnoying thunderous sound from big, big airplanes that flew above us incessantly. ( They look bigger now because they change their routes during winter time, from taking off pass our Mooban to descending directly over our roof to the airport.)

Later on, I sent the above drawing to Rung. He said it was not quite right and I should add some airplane to the pic. So I did. See how big it is?

Loy Krathong 2004

On Loy Krathong day in 2004, We went to Bangsai, Ayuthya to do the light and sound show. This was the gigantic krathong float on Chaophaya river which was also used as our performance stage. I used my cute Panasonic digital camera to capture this photo. The real one didnot look as nice as this pic but anyway, the size impressed many people, including me.

Axel Saying Goodbye to SAS

After working for SAS for almost 20 years, Axel quits SAS to start his own company. So I drew the picture of him waving goodbye to SAS
